These initial photos were taken at a stage where the top support has been fitted through the cover and trimmed, and the other two supports have not yet been trimmed, hence the different lengths of the support ends.

The later photos show the book with the binding complete.

Materials: oak bookboards, laidlook paper sewn on split whittaw thongs with linen thread, covered in red oak tanned leather.

Era: 15th-16th Century England
