How to Submit Material

Getting all this data and all those photographs in the right places is non-trivial, and I would really appreciate it if you could help by doing the following:

1. read the article about this database
2. print out the artist release and fill in the blanks
3. make a copy of the item info sheet for each item that you're sending me pictures of and fill in the information
4. take good pictures, using your camera's best resolution (preferably 1600 by 1200). Try to include something in the picture to indicate scale (your hand, a coin, whatever...)
5. remember to take pictures of the backs of things, closeups of details, etc.
6. include a good picture of yourself, also.

(I will handle any cropping, digital clean-up and re-sizing that's necessary.)

Now organize them as follows:

• your photo should be named "portrait.jpg" (note lowercase letters)
• please have a seperate subdirectory (folder) for each item's photos

If all of this will fit on a diskette, feel free to use one. Otherwise, burn it onto a CD.

If you have web space, you may put it all into one zip file, park the zip file on-line and e-mail me the link to where you've got the zip file parked.

Please don't e-mail me the pictures, etc.

Get the filled in forms (and the media, if applicable) to me and I'll take it from there.
